EGOS Sponsorship 2012

EGOS sponsors participation of scholars from less developed regions in the EGOS Colloquium 2012

EGOS aims at promoting high-quality organizational research that is grounded in the best traditions of social science. Inclusion and diversity are key objectives of our association.

To enrich further the international outreach of EGOS, the EGOS Board has decided to sponsor the participation of selected researchers from less developed regions of the world in the 28th EGOS Colloquium 2012 in Helsinki, Finland.

This support is intended for PhD students, as well as early career and established scholars, coming from areas where financial support for the Colloquium is difficult to obtain. These areas include Central and Eastern European countries, Latin America, Africa and less developed parts of Asia.

We seek to sponsor up to five PhD students and up to five early career or established scholars based on their applications. The sponsoring includes a travel and accommodation grant, as well as a Colloquium fee waiver.

Those interested are invited to send applications to Angelika Zierer by March 31, 2012.

Applications must include:

  • a CV
  • a short paper already submitted to (and accepted by) one of the sub-themes of the EGOS Colloquium 2012 and/or an application made to the PhD or Early Career Pre-Colloquium workshops
  • a one-page letter justifying the need for sponsoring
  • a letter of recommendation

Decisions will be made by the EGOS Board by mid-April 2012 at the latest.
