The 38th EGOS Colloquium 2022 Organizing Team in Vienna is excited to offer seven (7) hybrid sub-themes [see list below], which will enable attendees to participate either in person or virtually. It is our goal to provide virtual attendees with the opportunity to get a good experience of the sub-theme, and to also participate in other elements of the Colloquium program including the opening ceremony, selected sub-plenaries, and virtual social events.
This hybrid initiative is directed towards the following aims:
– Reducing carbon emissions in alignment with the EGOS Sustainability Principles
– Enhancing inclusivity by reducing barriers to participation
– Addressing potential travel restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic
Please note!
-
Virtual attendees will have a reduced Colloquium registration fee (tba in spring 2022).
-
Virtual participation will only be possible for the 7 sub-themes listed below.
-
For the initial submission of your short paper, you will be asked to provide information about your preferred mode of participation and that of your co-author(s), should your short paper be accepted.
-
Please make sure to coordinate with your co-authors their modes of participation in advance of the short paper submission.
The options for mode of participation are:
– In person only
– Virtual/online only
– Open to either in person or online participation (to be assigned by sub-theme convenors)
– Will not attend (another co-author will present)
