Tor Hernes and Barbara Simpson share the challenges associated with presenting research informed by temporality and process and talk about how they each have tried to tackle them.

First Exercise in Small Groups: Discussing the challenges in writing about process, emergence and temporality  
With this first exercise, participants will discuss in small groups the challenge they face with their research and its writing.

Second Exercise in Small Groups: Opening up possibilities by sharing inspirational material
Participants will share their inspirational texts, visuals, artefact and collectively elaborate on ideas on how to present process and time in academic texts.

Collective Discussion: More than words – Exploring alternative ways to present processual and temporal data
Following the two exercises, we will present and discuss other approaches that could be used to present processual and temporal empirical material. We will offer examples of, amongst others, visual and creative approaches which can complement textual presentation of empirical material.
