Jerry Davis is Wilburg K. Pierpont Collegiate Professor of Management at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, USA. His
research is broadly concerned with corporate governance and the effects of finance on society. He has published widely in
management, sociology and finance. His latest book, Managed by the Markets: How Finance Reshaped America, examines how finance replaced manufacturing at the center of the American economy, and what the consequences have been for
corporations, banking, states, and households in the 21st century.
In 2010, Jerry was awarded the Academy of Management's (AoM) "George R. Terry Book Award for Outstanding Contribution to the
Advancement of Management Knowledge".

Gerry George is an award-winning researcher and teacher, who published several articles in leading scholarly journals. He
was awarded a prestigious Professional Fellowship (2011–2014) from the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council to work on
resource-constrained or inclusive innovation. His work investigates business models, organizational design and its implications
for innovation and entrepreneurship in multiple settings.
In addition, Gerry is Director of the Rajiv Gandhi Centre at Imperial. This centre facilitates Imperial College’s strategic
commitments in India for joint research initiatives and educational programs in innovation and entrepreneurship.
