Arriving in Montreal

Direct flights to Montreal are available from most major European and North American hubs. Canada's national airline Air Canada is a member of the Star Alliance. A holiday travel airline Air Transat based in Montreal also runs scheduled flights to European and North American destinations at low prices. Numerous other airlines fly into Montreal's Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport (YUL).

Transportation from the airport

Downtown express airport shuttle (747): The 747 bus line service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, between the Montréal-Trudeau airport and the Montreal bus terminal (Berri-UQAM métro station). Travel time may vary between 45 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.  The fare is 9$ and includes 24 hours of unlimited travel through the whole bus and metro network.  The 747 bus line service also stops near several hotels: For the Hyatt Regency and Hôtel Dauphin Montréal Centre-Ville, stop at the intersection of Jeanne-Mance and René-Lévesque. For the Le Nouvel Hôtel and Spa, stop at the intersection of Guy and René-Lévesque. For other hotels, check the stops listings and consult google maps.

N.B. .If you plan on using public transportation (bus or metro) during your stay to travel from downtown hotels to the venue, we recommend purchasing a 3-day ($18) or one week ($23.75) CAM card in the fare vending machines in the international arrivals area. The card is also valid for use on the 747 shuttle, so this is an economical choice. You may also purchase the cards in metro stations throughout the transit system.

Taxis, adapted taxis or limousines: Taxis and limousines are available at the arrivals level, where a dispatcher will assist you. No reservation is required. To go downtown, there is a fixed fare for taxis (40$) or limousine (60$). For all other destinations you pay by the meter. Expect to add a 10-15% tip to your fare.

NB. If you plan to travel directly from the airport to the conference venue, we recommend taking a taxi (about 45 minutes to the venue).
